How to turn on Digger Tracking for Mailchimp

Digger Tracking by tagging your links with a unique code.

Step 1: Create or Edit Your Email in Mailchimp

  1. Log in to your Mailchimp account.

  2. Open an existing email campaign or create a new one.

Step 2: Add or Edit a Button Link

  1. In the email editor, add a button (or select an existing one).

  2. Click the button to edit its URL.

Step 3: Append the Digger Tracking Code

Add the following parameter to the end of your URL:

?dig=*|CAMPAIGN_UID|*  

Example:

  • Original URL: https://example.com/signup

  • Tracked URL: https://example.com/signup?dig=*|CAMPAIGN_UID|*

Note:

  • Use ?dig= if the URL has no existing parameters.

  • Use &dig= if the URL already contains ? (e.g., https://example.com/signup?source=mailchimp&dig=*|CAMPAIGN_UID|*).

Step 4: Save and Test

  1. Save the changes to your button.

  2. Send a test email and click the link to verify tracking works.

Step 5: Monitor Results in Digger

Once your campaign is sent, visit your Digger dashboard to analyze click-through rates and engagement!
