How to Set Up Reporting to Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

By connecting Digger to GA4,you can automatically send form-submission data to GA4

Step 1: Find Your GA4 Measurement ID

Before sending data to GA4, you need your Measurement ID:

  1. Log in to Google Analytics.

  2. Go to navigation bar Admin (⚙️) > Data collection and modification (under "Property").

  3. Go to Data Streams
  4. Select your website/app stream.

  5. Copy the Measurement ID (starts with G-).

Step 2: Generate a GA4 API Secret Key

To securely send data from Digger to GA4, you will need also the Secret Key:

  1. In the same Data Stream settings, scroll to Measurement Protocol API Secrets.

  2. Click Create and name it (e.g., “Digger Integration”).

  3. Copy the generated secret 

Step 3: Connect Digger to GA4

Now, enter your GA4 credentials in Digger:

  1. Go to Digger Settings > Integrations > Analytics > Google Analytics 4.

  2. Paste your Measurement ID and Secret Key.

  3. Click Link Account

  4. Done!

Step 4: Verify Data Is Reporting to GA4

After setup, confirm that events are being sent:

Check GA4 Realtime Reports

  1. In GA4, go to Reports > Engagement > Events.

  2. Look for your dig_potential or dig_won or dig_lost

  3. If events appear, your integration is working and you can see the status of the Form Submission that we reported 

When you click on the dig report you can also see more information regarding the Form submission (eg., ad code, keyword, referrer etc.).
